What Counts is a New Creation

The difference between life before the cross and life after the cross is union with God.

'Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit' John 3.6 NIV.

It's important to live in the Spirit of Jesus rather than in some kind of a discipline with His assistance. In the Spirit, Jesus not only lives with us and in us. He Himself is our life. Today we have an open heaven and more. Heaven lives in us. Heaven emanates from us in the Spirit. Thus if Christ is our life we will speak living words, do living activities and instigate projects that pulse with heaven's life. We will be heirs and promoters of the Kingdom of heaven. There's nothing as sad as people trying their best when there is no anointing; no indwelling Spirit of Christ flowing from their efforts.

Grace is not a replacement for living words and living actions.

The difference between life before the cross and life after the cross is union with God. All who believe are now one with the Father. If we are still toiling in law and attempting to earn our position in the Father we need to bring ourselves up to speed with what He did 2000 years ago. There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Just as Jesus and the Father are one, so you and the Father are one because Jesus is your life. In Jesus heaven and earth are joined in you.

Jesus is not helping you live a life that is outside you. He releases his life in you.

Jesus is not the means to an end. He is the beginning, end and middle. He is love and life itself. He is the order of the universe, the healer of the world and the antidote to death. All who have the Son have life. Those who do not have the son have no life. The way to have the Son is to agree that the Son has you. He does because He bought you with a price - Himself.

Several years ago I taught at a School Camp and introduced the Holy Spirit and his gifts. However I spoke of this as something that would make us more effective as witnesses and practitioners of Christianity. Maybe Holy Spirit does improve us but this is not the gospel or the Kingdom. This gospel begins with our union with God. Gifts and fruits of the Spirit are the effect of this union.
Life in the Spirit is Christ in us. It is our union with God.

I had wondered why the Lord did not breathe on what I had said. I realise now that He did not because it was not a complete gospel. It put the cart before the horse, so to speak. Jesus had the Spirit without limit because He was one with Father. So do we if we make first things first.

I read that 'Christianity has never been the Kingdom of God.' The 'cause' is not the Kingdom any more than your clothes are you. The gospel of the Kingdom is life - the life of Father flowing through Jesus and the Holy Spirit into you. If we are tied to law or its more subtle manifestation, performance, we will imagine that the campaign, the cause, the program or the system has the top priority.

The Holy Spirit does not come to multiply religion because the Holy Spirit does not multiply the letter. The Spirit glorifies and multiplies Jesus. If our heart is in law, so will be our eyes. Our hands and feet will be as well. We will unconsciously express in the letter what can only be lived in the Spirit of Jesus. Genuine ministry is works and not even supernatural works. It is Father expressing His life as your sonship.

'In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind' 1 John 1.4 NIV.
