God is never somewhere else. God lives in you and you have been joined to God. When Jesus rose from the dead His resurrection life began to advance into all the world. This is none other than His dissipation of the culture of death that began with Adam. New Creation Life started with Jesus and it happens in you.
EASTER IS
Easter is old life ended and new life begun. It’s Adam’s fall ended in the crucified Jesus and our new creation begun in the resurrected Jesus.
Easter is just as significant as Christmas. At Easter we celebrate the babe who was the Christ who ended the old creation and began the new one with His body and His life – now incarnated in us.
HIS BEING MANIFEST AS YOU AND AS US
The church Jesus builds is His Body in spirit and in truth. Never just a notional entity or a mere institution. Jesus’ church is the manifestation of Himself. Not only is this the effect of Christ in you. It is the reality of Christ as you – Christ as those who have obeyed Jesus instruction. What is this instruction? ‘On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you’ John 14.20 NIV.
This is the church Jesus builds without human hands. It is the multiplication of Himself as you and I and all those astute enough to be received into Christ as our life rather than attempting to live a religious, institutional life where routines, rites and forms are our mediators instead of the radical simplicity of Jesus as us.
LIVING ENTITY
Should you join with people for whom Christ is life you will be in the church of Jesus rather than in the church that is a manifestation of the letter that dulls. There is some life in this part of the church but drops rather than rivers of life. You can live a pedestrian Christian life in such routines. You can live as sons and daughters of God when you live in the new covenant reality of Jesus as your life and your participation with Him in the fellowship of the trinity.
THE CORE
‘Christ come in our flesh’ is the core of the Kingdom of God. Don’t mistake this for carnality and the dullness of the carnal Christian. The Son of God came as a human being. It is this son of man who reigns in heaven and this son of man who is you by the Spirit. As a person with a body you are the manifest presence of God.
FULLNESS IN CHRIST
If you have been astute enough to make Jesus your life; if you have done this exclusively and divested yourself of all forms of religious insulation that separate you from God, you will have welcomed Jesus coming in your flesh. Not only will He be in you. You will be His life and as such be alive with the kind of life that is beyond the religious. Nevertheless, where the religious are addicted to religion. They can neither see clearly or hear accurately. Rick Joyner writes,
“The enemy horde had been populated mostly by captured, deceived Christians. The horde called itself “the true church” and was recognized by most non-Christians as the real church. We were “outside the camp,” and most of the groups like us that were fighting through the valley were now considered cults or sects that were in rebellion to the church.” (1)
ONENESS WITH GOD IS NOT WELL RECEIVED
People who live the truth are often considered odd, fanatics or eccentric. The Way that is wide is well regarded and fraught with the mediocrity of semi-death.
There are versions of Christianity that have death as their heart. Ensconced in the law, the are ensconced in Adamic separation from God. Even though they are not actually separated in reality, they are separated in their mindset – a cunningly devised fable.
Attached to the law or smothered in religion we can attain a superficial form of godliness, of unity and a facile mode of community – a shadow of the real. This is because we are not one with God or one with ourselves. Union with self and others comes from union with God – of this kind: ‘I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you’ John 14.20 NIV.
