YOU TRANSMIT GOD'S LIFE

YOU ARE STRANGE.001
The most obvious and joyful effect of being liberated from the law is that we become one with God. (This might prove startling to those accustomed to seek God by way of the law) The cross means our Adamic self-centred state of separation from God is over and we are delivered from the dichotomies and compartments of the knowledge of good and evil. Now we are alive in God, in fellowship with the trinity and positioned to see as God sees. We are part of God: Sons positioned to see much more than relativisms and contradictions. Being in God we are both in life and in His light. We are no longer separated from the truth. In God we are the truth. This is the effect of becoming sons of God in spirit and truth. Now we are able to give out spirit and life rather than a Bible study.

Truth is not alive because we cited a bracket of scriptures. It is alive when we and our Father are one.

INNATE FRAGMENTATION

As children of the law we are captured in the compartments of the knowledge of good and evil. Here it is impossible not to be contained in dualistic thinking and contradictory positions. Even if we consider ourselves of liberal disposition, we will imprison ourselves in the ideas to which we are addicted. We will propose to ourselves that we are non-sectarian yet will methodically exclude any form of thought that would usher us into the glorious liberty of the gospel in which Christ alone is our seeing and our life. We will find ourselves enclosed in information. But not ignited in spirit and life.

‘When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life" John 8.12. We walk in the light when our Jesus is the Christ or God and our gospel is His gospel of the Kingdom.

Richard Rohr observes that, “If I cannot detach from a person or event or feeling when it is needed or appropriate, then I can take it as certain that I am overidentified, overly attached, or even enmeshed. This could be called unawareness, the unawakened state, or blindness.” (1) This certainly explains why law bound old covenant people are so famously deprived of spiritual discernment and committed to seeing only what they want to see. It explains why people who love Jesus can spend their entire lives in a religious pursuit that is essentially a delusion.

The person who is ever seeking to know God’s truth is a different person to one who has gone into bat for his own truth. We will walk in the light when Christ is not our ideology or our religion - but our life.
